Escargots: not just for the French! Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx

Raccoons survive in the deep urban environment for the adaptability of their diet. Here in the remote corners of Van Cortlandt, however, they need not venture into garbage bins, preferring to feel for aquatic delicacies such as water snails, in the Parks' large expanse of biologically diverse wetlands.
