Dr. Mitchell Gaynor's Nurture Nature Nurture Health, a remarkable treatise on health and the environment, will soon be available in bookstores and on the web.

Gaynor's book, inspired by Nurture New York Nature's and published by Nurture Nature Press, began as a set of presentations about cancer and the role of the environment in the disease. It has since evolved into a review of harmful environmental toxins, where they are found and how, specifically, they assault the various body systems. In Nurture Nature Gaynor argues that the Earth we live in is not the Earth of our ancestors. Instead it is a battleground where thousands of environmental toxins exist as "a byproduct of mankind's initially well intended, but ultimately misguided assumptions and actions."

Gaynor, a pioneer in the use of nutrition in cancer prevention and treatment, is a well-known oncologist and the author of several books, including Dr. Gaynor's Cancer Prevention Program, Healing ESSENCE ., The Sounds of Healing , and The Healing Power of Sound. He also is a strong proponent of alternative medicine and the need to work together to understand the dangers of a toxic environment and strategies to protect ourselves and the society we live in.

The book is a natural part of the mission of the Nurture Nature, says Ted Kheel, NNYN founder. It is not only an effort to focus on the dangers that toxins in the environment pose to our health but also a call to help clean the environment.

Nurture Nature Nurture Health
is designed to alert readers to the potential dangers, to inform them of ways they can prevent exposures and strengthen the body's natural defenses …Says Gaynor, "There is much that we can do and one step today in unison with millions of other like minded steps can assure balance and harmony for all living things..-today and in the future."
